Meadowbrook businessman,  political activist and now author, Adrian Murray announces the offical launch of  COMMON GROUND AMERICA.
At a time when it seems that politicians on both sides of the aisle are in a feeding frenzy over the carcass that is quickly becoming our country, Murray
calls for Americans to unite for the greater good and for future generations.  

2-23-12: "SALTWATER" DISPOSAL WELL PUBLIC HEARING
7PM TO 9PM in the Fort Worth City Council Chambers at 1000 Throckmorton Street
Ever wonder why earthquakes are happening more frequently in our area?  Come to this public hearing and learn more about the disposal wells that are causing increased public concern..  The state of Arkansas closed down a disposal/injection well last year due to earthquakes.   The Fort Worth city moratorium on disposal wells is due to expire on  April 1013.  Ccurrently only one of these wells operates within Fort Worth city limits and it is located along the Trinity River near Randol Mill and Oakland Blvd. A series of 5 public meetings will be held in the next few weeks.  Make an effort to attend, get informed and provide input to the City Council as they face the April deadline.

East Fort Worth businessman and political activist Adrian Murray announced the release of his new book, "Common Ground America",
detailing a blueprint for American renewal. The Common Ground America organization is a "non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated
to restoring a constructive dialogue to effectively deal with the issues facing America today".

4-21-11: CBS CHANNEL 11 COLLECTS DONATIONS FOR FIREFIGHTERS
8:30AM to 5:30PM at 5233 Bridge Street
Help those affected by the from the ongoing wild fires in Palo Pinto County.  Bring bottled water, sunscreen, eye drops, baby wipes, lip balm and sports drinks to the CBS-11 offices.  Items will be distributed on Friday to firefighters and evacuees.

3-28-11: FIERY TANKER ACCIDENT DAMAGES I-30 BRIDGE NEAR BEACH STREET
A drunken driver traveling the wrong way on westbound I-30 crashed into a fuel-filled tanker truck.  The truck driver, Alejandro Raya, was trapped in the cab when the tanker exploded in fire.  The extreme heat severely damaged the bridge supports over Sycamore Creek.  I-30 traffic has been reduced to two lanes only and repairs may take several months.

3-23-11: GRAND OPENING POLYTECHNIC POLICE CENTER

Blue skies and a brisk breeze provided the perfect backdrop for the stunning new police center located at 1100 Nashville Avenue.  Wonderfully xeriscaped with a bold profile, this masterful remodel by the architectural firm of Perkins & Will may soon become the City's first LEED-gold certified building project, Light and bright with a museum quality feel, the officers of the East Division will surely enjoy the gym and modern offices. Congratulations to all who worked long and hard on this amazing project.

3-22-11: MEADOWBROOK BRANCH LIBRARY RENOVATION
The Fort Worth City Council approved funds to  remodel and reposition this community library.  Meadowbrook will close March 30th and reopen June 1st with the emplasis on providing employment related services.  In a partnership with Workforce Solutions of Tarrant County, patrons can attend  computer learning labs with classes in resume writing and job searching skills.   Books can be requested and picked up at the new center but the main focus of the facility will be to provide employment related services.
